Notes: 12/4/04 - This looks like a very stock 108-2 (small tail) except for the larger tires and absence of gear fairings. It is still fabric covered, has stock wings, and the Franklin engine.
Being a 1947 aircraft it was certainly built by Stinson, but apparently someone wanted to call it a "Universal Stinson" because the type certificate is presently held by Univair. |

Notes: Alaska is taildragger country. That's a modified Piper PA-22-108 Colt under the Stinson's left tip, and then a red Aeronca Champ, and a T-Craft just to the right of '57C's nose. There were taildraggers everywhere you looked. |
