| Notes: 6/16/04 - This is a previously unpublished photo of Eastern's Flight #7, a DC-2, NC13739, after it hit a power pole on takeoff. The aircraft flew the Daytona/Chicago route. Four of the nine on board died in the 4:40 a.m., August 10, 1937 accident near Daytona Beach, FL. The aircraft was a DC-2-112, C/N 1289. The people who put the pole up had not given proper notice to authorities. |
