| Notes:06-21-03 - The easiest way to distinguish the DC-2 from the DC-3 is by the vertical tail. Compare this photo to a DC-3 and the difference is obvious. This DC-2 was used by JFS for carrying smoke jumpers and possibly for spraying. Various sources indicate that it was originally delivered to Pan American Airways as NC14296. Note the Ford Tri-Motor and the Curtiss C-46 in the background. |
