Notes: 8/12/04 - A nice little Champion 7GC sitting high and dry along Lake Hood, Anchorage, AK. The FAA Registry shows it as an Aeronca, but aircraft above and below it in serial number are, Make: Champion, and Model: Aeronca 7GC. It all gets a bit confusing when aircraft companies are bought and sold and names are changed, but that's what we'll call it for now.
N4888E is licensed in multiple categories (Standard-Restricted), for normal use and for "Agricultural and Pest Control". We don't know if '88E was ever used as a sprayer but a few such aircraft were equipped with a Sorenson or similar system for light-duty ag work. |

Notes: The 7GC is powered by a 140-HP, O-290-D2B Lycoming and does not have flaps.
It's pretty hard to get a good clear photo with such a dark paint scheme. I used a bit of flash here to try to lighten it up. It looks like a fun airplane for playing in the water. |
